The outer shell
The outer shells and their cuffs are transported from one production stage to the next on long conveyors.
The plastic parts are deburred, sanded, bonded and riveted, etc. In some case this takes place automatically, but usually it is performed by hand.
Add-on parts such as spoilers or soles are made from other materials and are produced separately before they are fitted to the shells.
