LOWA recognised a long time ago that womenīs feet are differnet to menīs. Our womenīs models are made to suit these anatomic differences. They are not different to look at but you can feel the difference as soon as you put them on. A few of the details that set our LOWA womenīs models apart:

- Special design of the heel area. Soft and flexible for optium comfort.
- The last defines the shape of the most important component in achieving a good fit. A last is a 3D model of a foot. Of course men and women feet are different. So LOWA uses different lasts for menīs and womenīs models.
- tongue padding made of laminated viscoelastic- and conventional PU-foam
- the foam fits perfect to instep and shin, caused by body heat.
- best comfort by elimination of pressure peaks
- avoids shifting of the tongue
- Softer viscoelatic foam and softer upper lead to perfect fit especially for women.
- Of course women are lighter than men. But also the gait motion is different. Women absorb a higher percentage of ground reaction forces in the ankle than men. So the midsole of the LOWA Women models are softer for better cushioning.
